SOME TIPS TO SHINE

Good morning boys and girls. This time, I thought about writing down some little tips that will help you to steal glances; those tips that I use sometimes. Some might say that you shouldn’t reveal them; however, I think the world is big enough for everyone, every single person has the same chance of growing for good and as we live in society, as good citizens and human beings, we should help each other. Besides, we all have our special touch which makes us all different from the others and it’s almost impossible to imitate. Of course, let’s say that the world of fashion and television teach some things which help to make that light stored inside each person, shine more brightly.

For the ladies, I’m going to share with you my tips to shine. But this secret is between you and me.

Be polite ALWAYS. It doesn’t matter if you’ve had a bad day. Never forget to say good morning, good afternoon, please, thank you, even though you’re dying in the inside. A polite woman is always going to find an open door. I assure you!

Smile. This is more important than you think. In fact, it’s the best weapon a woman has; smile and you’ll have the world at your feet.
Don’t curse or use bad words. As the saying goes, "the mouth speaks about the greatness of the soul”. Be a lady and express yourself as one. It’s very ugly to hear a woman using vulgar language.
Be helpful! Wherever you are, be like a princess Diana. Women are very emotional and sensitive beings, and even though sometimes that’s our weakness… that’s what makes a woman a being of tenderness and beauty.

Treat everyone like equal. Being humble makes your brightness everlasting. A truly kind person is kind with everyone and at all times.
What I’m about to tell you might be a little shocking. Are you ready? DON’T go out all dressy and fancy all the time. You heard me right! And this is a former miss who’s telling you. If you’re always all fancy and elegant then you won’t be able to shock everybody when you show up to a place if everybody is already used to see you stunning. Besides, less is more; a simple woman translates into elegance and confidence. In my case, I’m not much of a full make up girl on a daily basis. I like dressing myself as a college girl with jeans and sneakers; and some other days I go out with gym clothes and a ponytail. Believe me, your man is going to fall in love with your simplicity and you’re going to take his breath away when you go out on a special night beautiful and elegant as out of a James Bond movie, hahaha.

Keep a good posture while walking and a steady gaze. Confidence in a woman is an overwhelming attribute.

Always be honest… Sometimes I’ve stayed waiting for about an hour inside my car to be on time for a meeting that is important to me and there’s no reason to hide something like or being ashamed to say it. Talk about your efforts without thinking that you’re humiliating yourself; In fact, those acts of greatness make the world of possibilities even wider.

Now, getting into the “beauty” topic; I can give some advices that will help you look stunning like:
- Red lips: They never fail to impress. In fact, making your lips the focal point by wearing white or black clothes is very sexy and elegant.
- Dress in just one tone: I love this, dare to take risks.
- A black look: Wearing black never fails to impress either.
- Dark glasses: This is another tip to shine even more, it makes you look interesting.
- Low tail: I love this hairstyle, the path in the middle of your hair and a low tail is a way to look exotic because you leave your face uncovered.
- Ankle boots and a hat: Don’t be afraid to wear ankle boots and a hat in Panamá, set your own style.

I’m sure that you thought my “tips to shine” were more about physic beauty than inner beauty. Well girls, I think 100% that real beauty comes from the inside. I’ve competed against a lot of beautiful women from all around the world, I’ve modeled on runways when I’ve been the shortest one, I’ve been with celebrities, and believe me, beauty comes from the inside. The key to stand out from so many amazing women is being a good human being, being how you truly are, being a WOMAN.

And for the gentlemen: Because of the fact that I’m not a man it’s kind of difficult to me be able to give you some tips; but as a woman I can tell you some things that I love about a man:

When a guy is polite and gentle and makes jokes even with our waiter at the restaurant; that makes me fall in love.
When he’s a focused business man; I love that.
When he knows a little bit about everything; he stands out.
When a man has a lot of friends; I like that.

I think a man stands out when he’s a gentleman, when he loves his mother and you can tell that, when he shows a lot of confidence and above all, when he shows that even though he’s a strong man he also has his sensitive side.
